James Tadewald, CMA, CFM, CFE, CIA
James Tadewald is the founder and principal at GRC Advisory Services International with expertise in governance, risk, and compliance; cybersecurity; information security; data security and privacy; financial reporting and due diligence; and third-party risk management. He has more than 25 years’ experience in management consulting, providing senior leadership in a wide variety of public and private international and domestic organizations for Department of Defense contracting, financial/banking, telecommunications, government services, manufacturing, and healthcare sectors. He has had successful international assignments in Kuwait, Sicily, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, and the Mediterranean area, and lived abroad in Kuwait, Sicily, and Philippines.
James earned his CFM and CMA designations in 2001 and 2004, respectively. He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE), and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC). He holds an MBA from the University of Montana and a post-MBA/MIM in Advanced Studies Asia and International Business from Arizona State University’s Thunderbird School of Global Management.
An IMA member since 2000, James has participated as a member of numerous IMA Global Board advisory committees: IFAC Monitoring and Compliance, Ethics, Member Interest Group, and Technology Solutions and Practices. He is currently a member of IMA’s Strategic Planning Standing Board Committee.
