Nina Michels-Kim, CMA, CSCA

Nina Michels-Kim has more than 25 years of experience in corporate finance, healthcare sectors, and empowering business professionals. Born in Japan to a Japanese mother and an American father, she brings a unique global perspective to business. Her career began in controlling and financial planning & analysis (FP&A) at pharmaceutical firms Sandoz, Novartis, and Merck.

Following that, Nina founded Starling Limited, providing strategic consulting on market intelligence, healthcare analysis, and cross-cultural dynamics. In previous consultancy engagements, she served as a director of a global nonprofit association, where she empowered finance leaders in Europe, Japan, and Korea to navigate complex challenges and lead with confidence across borders.

Both a CMA and CSCA, Nina founded the IMA Switzerland Chapter in 2009. As a member of the IMA Global Board, she serves on the Strategic Planning Standing Board Committee.

Nina specializes in transforming finance professionals into strategic leaders. She is a Certified Solutions Academy Coach, has earned accreditation from the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and is a lecturer for the Japan Association of CFOs. She earned her BA with Honors in International Relations from Pomona College and her MS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.
