Travis Willard
Senior Vice President, Product and Innovation
Travis Willard is IMA’s senior vice president, product and innovation, a role where he brings a forward-thinking vision and a rich blend of experience in educational technology and product management. He aims to drive innovative solutions and enhance IMA’s product offerings, aspiring to solidify IMA’s leading position in the accounting and finance sector.
Before joining IMA, Travis served as the chief product officer at Southern New Hampshire University. There, he spearheaded product development, user experience and research, and academic innovation teams, helping to drive significant advancements in new product development and process improvement. Prior to that, Travis served as vice president for product and strategy at PowerSchool Group, where he was instrumental in developing the Unified Classroom platform, showcasing his innovative approach in the edtech sector.
Travis’s career, which began in engineering, spans diverse roles across startups and established edtech companies, both as a product and technology leader. His international tenure includes his pivotal role as president and COO of itslearning, a Norwegian learning management system company, where he successfully led the U.S. market expansion. His skills were further honed as head of platforms at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in Dublin, Ireland, and as deputy superintendent and chief technology officer for the State of Georgia Department of Education.
Outside of work, Travis is a passionate advocate in the neurodiversity movement. He earned his bachelor’s degree in management and his MBA in information systems from Mercer University’s Stetson School of Business and Economics.
