Travis Willard
Chief Product and Technology Officer
Travis Willard is chief product and technology officer at IMA, responsible for leading the organization’s product, technology, and innovation strategy. In this role, Travis drives IMA’s digital transformation efforts, oversees modernization of core systems, and leads the development of learning and credentialing offerings aligned with the future of work. With deep experience in edtech, strategy, and member engagement, he brings a cross-functional approach to delivering value for IMA members and advancing the profession of management accounting globally. He began his tenure at IMA as senior vice president, product and innovation.
Before joining IMA, Travis served as the chief product officer at Southern New Hampshire University. There, he spearheaded product development, user experience and research, and academic innovation teams, helping to drive significant advancements in new product development and process improvement. Prior to that, Travis served as vice president for product and strategy at PowerSchool Group, where he was instrumental in developing the Unified Classroom platform, showcasing his innovative approach in the edtech sector.
Travis’s career, which began in engineering, spans diverse roles across startups and established edtech companies, both as a product and technology leader. His international tenure includes his pivotal role as president and COO of itslearning, a Norwegian learning management system company, where he successfully led the U.S. market expansion. His skills were further honed as head of platforms at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in Dublin, Ireland, and as deputy superintendent and chief technology officer for the State of Georgia Department of Education.
Outside of work, Travis is a passionate advocate in the neurodiversity movement. He earned his bachelor’s degree in management and his MBA in information systems from Mercer University’s Stetson School of Business and Economics.
