Brigitte de Graaff, Ph.D., CMA, CSCA

Brigitte de Graaff is an assistant professor of accounting at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, the Netherlands, where she also earned her Ph.D. as well as two master’s degrees in accounting and control and Dutch criminal law. De Graaff has broad experience in teaching in executive education, and she is the program director of the CMA program and the ESG management program at her university. De Graaff also provides CMA prep courses in other European countries and has provided editorial assistance for CMA review materials. Her research efforts focus on integrated thinking and ESG in relation to governance and performance management.

De Graaff has fulfilled multiple volunteer roles. She has been an active board member for IMA’s Amsterdam Chapter for 12 years, and she chaired IMA’s Sustainable Business Management Global Task Force for two years. De Graaff is the chair of IMA’s Volunteer Leadership Standing Board Committee and a member of the Governance Standing Board Committee. Previously, she chaired the Europe Regional Advisory Committee and was a member of the Global Markets Standing Board Committee and the Volunteer Leadership Standing Board Committee.
