Dana Riess is CFO at Eximis Surgical Inc., an early-stage medical device company in Colorado. She is also managing partner at The Laminar Group, LLC, which provides finance, technology, supply chain, and international business consulting expertise to a wide variety of industries.

Riess has more than 25 years of financial experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, specializing in international commercial and manufacturing operations. Riess began her career at Abbott Laboratories, after earning her master’s in international management at the Thunderbird School of Global Management. She held a wide variety of positions at Abbott and AbbVie, including nine years living and working overseas in Puerto Rico, Switzerland, and Central Eastern Europe as subsidiary and regional CFO.

Since 2011, Riess has served in various IMA volunteer leadership roles at the chapter, regional, and global levels, including two years as chair of the ICMA Board of Regents. Riess also served three years on the global APICS (now ASCM) Board of Directors, including one year as treasurer. Riess currently serves on IMA’s Volunteer Leadership Standing Board Committee, having previously served as chair of the Strategic Planning Standing Board Committee and on the Governance Standing Board Committee.
