Femke Aarts is an accomplished senior executive with a proven track record in financial and organizational management, leadership, and strategic transformation in the private and public sectors.

Aarts is co-CEO of Surplus, an organization for welfare, care, and housing in The Netherlands. In addition, she is on the supervisory boards of Avans University of Applied Sciences and the nongovernmental organizations FairWork and Rutgers.

Aarts earned her MBA from Radboud University and Utah State University in 1997, her CMA in 2013, and her CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) in 2016. She currently serves on IMA’s Governance Standing Board Committee and has previously served on IMA’s Strategic Planning and Volunteer Leadership Standing Board Committees as well as the Nominating and Annual Conference Committees.
