Javvadi Rao is an accomplished business executive with four decades of professional experience, including three decades of senior management and leadership roles with ITC Limited, a diversified conglomerate. His industry experience includes agri-business, commodity trading, international trade, rural marketing, retailing, banking, and insurance. Currently, Rao is director and CEO of a management consulting firm, providing management accounting services in the areas of business planning, competitive strategy, value-based pricing, balanced score card, and risk management.

An IMA member since 1995, Rao is an alumnus of the Indian School of Business and successfully completed executive development education at Wharton (U Penn) and Kellogg (Northwestern) Schools of Business in the areas of competitive marketing strategy, M&A, leadership, and ethics.

A 2022 IMA Champion Award recipient, Rao previously served as president of IMA’s Hyderabad Chapter and is a member of  the IMA Leadership Academy faculty. As a member of the IMA Global Board, he serves on the Global Markets Standing Board Committee and as chair of the Regional Advisory Committee in India, having previously served on the Performance Oversight & Audit Standing Board Committee.
