Gwen van Berne, CMA, is the Chair of IMA’s Global Board of Directors for the 2022-2023 fiscal year. She is also serving as Chair of the Governance Standing Board Committee. In addition, van Berne serves as a trustee of the ICMA Board of Trustees, IMA Research Foundation Board of Trustees, and IMA Memorial Education Fund.

Gwen van Berne is the director of finance and risk at Oikocredit. Most recently, she was a supervisory board member of International Card Services (ICS), the largest credit card provider in the Netherlands. Before ICS, she was CFO of RIPE NCC, the Regional Internet Registry (RIR) that provides Internet resource allocations and registration services to Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia. Prior to that, van Berne fulfilled a variety of roles within ABN AMRO Bank, including head of capital and risk reporting (ABN AMRO Bank NV), global manager of business development (ABN AMRO Clearing Bank NV), and manager of private banking (ABN AMRO Mees Pierson Wassenaar).

In her spare time, van Berne is the treasurer of the Delft Chamber Music Festival. She is also a curatorium member of the executive education program for the CMA program at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Richard T. Brady

Chair-Elect, IMA Global Board of Directors

Rich Brady, CMA, CGFM, CDFM, is the Chair-Elect of IMA’s Global Board of Directors for the 2022-2023 fiscal year. He also serves as Chair of the Nominating Standing Board Committee and a member of the Strategic Planning Standing Board Committee. In addition, Brady serves as a trustee of the ICMA Board of Trustees, IMA Research Foundation Board of Trustees, and IMA Memorial Education Fund. An IMA member since 1999, Brady has been a member of the IMA Global Board of Directors since 2018 and is also a member of the Stuart Cameron McLeod Society Board of Governors.

Brady is CEO of the American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC), which works to promote education, training, and certification; drives financial transformation; and upholds the highest ethical and professional standards. In his role at the ASMC, Brady represents more than 14,000 financial management professionals in the public and private sectors of the defense/aerospace industry. He recently retired as a colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps after 32 years of service.

Previously, Brady held a variety of command and staff roles throughout an illustrious military career, including a combat tour in Iraq, multiple tours in the Pentagon, and as an accredited diplomat in the country of Georgia. As a financial management officer, he served as the Commander/Director of the Marine Corps Financial Management School, the CFO of Marine Corps Installations Command, and the executive secretary for the Defense Commissary Agency Board of Directors. His last assignment was as the Commander of the U.S. Military Entrance Processing Command (USMEPCOM), where he was responsible for the accessions of more than 250,000 men and women into all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces annually.

President and CEO, IMA

Mike DePrisco is the President and CEO of IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants). DePrisco brings more than 30 years of leadership experience to his role and is excited to help IMA grow further as one of the most influential finance and accounting associations worldwide. IMA has a global network of about 140,000 members in 150 countries and 350 professional and student chapters.

Prior to joining IMA, DePrisco served as the COO of Project Management Institute (PMI), where he provided executive leadership to the operations of the global organization, supporting more than 2 million certification holders, 680,000 members, and 300 chapters from over 200 countries. DePrisco led a diverse global team with a focus on membership and community growth & retention, certification, digital products, and successful execution of major initiatives. He also served as interim President and CEO in 2021-2022.

DePrisco initially joined PMI in 2013 as vice president of academic and educational programs before expanding his scope and responsibility to vice president of global membership & chapters and vice president global solutions. He also served as COO of the Project Management Institute Educational Foundation (PMIEF) for seven years.

Before PMI, DePrisco spent 20 years in various leadership & executive roles in higher education in the U.S.

DePrisco earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and has earned additional certifications in international business and digital strategy.
