Step 1

Enroll in the CMA program

To start the program, you must first join IMA as a member and then enroll as a CMA candidate.

Step 2

Register for the CMA exams

You can sit for CMA Part 1 or Part 2 in any order. Exams are offered at Prometric testing centers.

Step 3

Plan to complete certification requirements

You must verify you meet the education and work experience requirements to earn your certification. You may complete the exams before you have finished these requirements.

CMA Program Fees

Professional Members

CMA Entrance Fee: $300

Exam Fee: $495 per part

IMA Membership Fee: $295*


Student/Academic Members

CMA Entrance Fee: $225

Exam Fee: $370 per part

IMA Membership Fee: $49/$160*


*IMA membership is required. Certified CMAs will need to pay a $30 annual renewal fee and will be required to report 30 hours of CPE on an annual basis.
