Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Policies

CPE Information and Policies

IMA Live Events, Webinars, and Self-study Courses meet the standards of the ICMA® (Institute of Certified Management Accountants) CPE program for CMAs.

IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) is also registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education (CPE) on the National Registry for CPE Sponsors.

One ICMA CPE credit is equivalent to 50 minutes of training.

IMPORTANT: For all group live CPE events, attendance must be on record in order to receive full credit.


NASBA CPE

NASBA CPE credits are made available and awarded for IMA training that complies with the Statement on Standards for CPE Programs. In accordance with these Standards, relevant group live or group internet training details are disclosed to learners in advance via email invitations, registration websites, or other similar announcements. Details pertaining to self-study courses can be found as an attachment within each course.

  • One NASBA CPE credit is equivalent to 50 minutes of training.

State boards of accountancy have the final authority on the acceptance of CPE credits for Certified Public Accountants (CPAs).

Complaints regarding NASBA National Registry CPE Sponsors may be submitted to NASBA via their website, www.nasbaregistry.org.

IMA Refund/Cancellation Policies

Continuing Education Self-Study Products

IMA will refund your purchase price, less a 10% processing fee, if you have registered for a self-study course(s) and found it (them) unsatisfactory, provided that (1) you have not taken the final test and (2) your refund request is submitted within 30 days of your purchase receipt date/registration for the course by email or mail to the contact information listed below.

It is assumed that after 30 days, you are satisfied with the materials and service. For more information regarding administrative policies such as complaints and refunds, please contact us.

Live Events

Requests for cancellations must be submitted in writing and received by IMA five (5) days prior to the date of the event in order to receive a full refund (less a 10% processing fee). Refunds are not given for no-shows. Special circumstances and cancellation requests may be emailed or mailed to the contact information listed below. Refunds will be issued within 30 days after the event.

IMA Webinars

IMA RECORDED webinars are NOT eligible for CPE credits.
